I'm a person who stays grounded in the possibilities, and my purpose is rooted in influencing a more equitable and just world. In my professional life I'm a equity, inclusion and justice practitioner who centers marginalized people while teaching those in positions of power to use their privilege to advance anti-racist and equitable workplace cultures.

I also host The Equity Gap Podcast, and outside my work I lean into community, anchoring my energy towards amplifying Black, Indigenous and racialized women to show up in the world and take up all the space we desire and deserve.

I'm a proud introvert, dog lover (unapologetically obsessed with my senior rescue dog, Ollie), avid traveler and foodie. I aim to leave the world better than how I found it and I am a person whose work and personal life bleeds together in a meaningful and intentional way.

Lastly, I’m a late in life diagnosed ADHDer, and a proud first generation Pakistani-Canadian Muslim. I lead with authenticity, heart and I know no other way to show up in the world than as myself. I'm never the loudest person in the room, but I speak with intention, making an impact through my unique lens and with me, what you see is what you get.

Hello! I’m Shahzia (she/her), and I’m so glad you’re here.
